the final flight of nasa s space shuttle discovery - nasa mission sts-133 - transported romanian experiment created romanian institute space science international space station.

growth , survival of colored fungi in space (cfs-a) experiment designed determine effect of microgravity , cosmic radiation on growth , survival of colored fungi species.


principal investigators: dumitru hasegan, romanian institute space science, bucharest. (esa). launch of sts-133 took place on february 24, 2011. more details visit mission s official webpage.


goliat

goliat first romanian artificial microsatellite, launched on february 13, 2012. selected launched orbit european vega rocket, on first operational flight.

the entire system developed , designed rosa in collaboration institute of space science , bitnet , elprof companies, between 2005 , 2007. microsatellite cube sides of 10 inches , weight of 1 kilogram.


the goliat mission funded national authority scientific exploration within national excellence research programm , has educational character, being first microsatellite launched in rosa space in programme.


robisat

robisat represents second romanian artificial nanosatellites mission. mission composed out of 2 cubesat 2u type satellites , supposed part of qb50 constellation. sent iss in second quarter of 2017 on cygnus crs oa-7 mission postponed indefinitely.


the 2 nanosatellites, called robisat 1 , robisat 2, built @ institute of space science located in magurele, romania.
