in 2012, planning permission granted lincolnshire co-operative society redevelop bus station site part of development known lindongate; later renamed lincoln transport hub redevelopment. new bus station included in development, closer railway station.


lincoln city bus station closed @ midnight on 27 august 2016. following day, services transferred temporary bus station located in former car park off tentercroft street, half mile south. in october 2016, archaeological dig commenced on site, recovering large horde of 12th , 13th century pottery , other artefacts. demolition of bus station commenced on 12 november 2016 , completed january 2017.
