research , development

the research , development of “victimless leather” has been conducted in symbiotica: art , science collaborative research laboratory, school of anatomy , human biology @ university of western australia , in consultation professor arunasalam dharmarajan school of anatomy , human biology verigen, perth-based company specializes in tissue engineered cartilage clinical applications. western australia state made investment in project through artswa in association lotteries commission.

killing jacket

the victimless leather featured in exhibition “design , elastic mind” @ museum of modern art in new york city, united states. [1] [2] february 24 – may 12, 2008 project scheduled grow continuously until may 12 when exhibition ended. there problems though, when leather started expanding quickly, clogging tubes inside bioreactor. exhibition leader therefore decided unplug project before end of exhibition – in way, killing it.
