as part of reorganisation of city-based parishes (many long histories), several attached each of dublin cathedrals. saint patrick s cathedral group of parishes dated group 1970 ceased exist on retirement of dean robert maccarthy on 25 january 2012.

swords: swords has been prebend since original charter of 1191. @ september 2011, prebendary of swords revd g. j. o. dunstan, dean of armagh.
yagoe: has been prebend since 1191, , on 600 years in patronage of senior irish aristocrats. prebendary of yagoe @ september 2011 revd t. s. forster (armagh).
st audoen: after on 200 years adjunct treasury, became independent prebend in 1467. prebendary of st audoen @ september 2011 revd j. p. barry, rector of comber (down).
clonmethan: clonmethan has been prebend since 1191 foundation. @ july 2007, prebendary of clonmethan revd p. k. mcdowell, rector of ballywillan (connor).
wicklow: attached archdiaconate of glendalough 14th century 1467, has since been independent. prebendary of wicklow @ september 2011 revd s. e. doogan, incumbent of ballyholme (down).
tymothan: manor estate, rather church, attached archbishopric until 1247, , has since been independent, though until disestablishment, vacant. of september 2014, prebendary of tymothan canon paul willoughby, rector of kilmocomoge union of parishes (cork).
