after graduating uc santa barbara, lee worked 2002 2004 @ marina times, san francisco community newspaper, freelance reporter on spare time. later, enrolled @ columbia university, worked @ ny1 , did freelance writing forbes.com. left ny1 , joined forbes full-time.


while @ forbes, lee tried orchestrate permanent move in front of camera. using on-camera work compiled time @ forbes, hired fox business network.

lee hired fox news chairman & ceo roger ailes in 2007. nicole petallides, duo original anchors of fox business morning on fox business network when channel made debut on october 15, 2007.


fox later added lee contributor money breakfast , anchor web-only foxbusiness.com live morning edition, launched in february 2009. upon cancellation of money breakfast in december 2009, lee gained role on imus in morning, show took time slot.


the last airing of fox business morning in may 2010, after replaced best of imus lead-in imus in morning.

lee left fox business network in july 2010 , joined fox news channel, replaced jane skinner jon scott s co-anchor on happening now. first personality go fox business network fox news channel.


on june 2, 2017, lee announced on happening leaving fox news pursue other projects , opportunities.
