in june 2016 , shimmer formed partnership wyss institute @ harvard university in support of ongoing research focused on remote patient monitoring using wearable sensing technology. research being led paolo bonato, ph.d., associate faculty member @ wyss institute , associate professor in department of physical medicine , rehabilitation @ harvard medical school.

in march 2014 , shimmer formed partnership us-based emerge diagnostics worth $10 million on 3 years. shimmer provided platform enabled emerge diagnostics roll out new medical device enables diagnosis , treatment of soft tissue injuries through electrodiagnostic functional assessment. device contains 28 sensors , can used distinguish between acute injury underlying chronic condition. used determine age of injury.


kinesis health technologies

in december 2014 , shimmer , kinesis health technologies announced deal worth €3 million involved incorporation of shimmer sensor platform kinesis qtug™ technology allows earlier detection of mobility impairment , falls risk in older adults , aims advance field of falls prevention.
