khon stylized form of thai dance. performed troupes of non-speaking dancers, story being told chorus @ side of stage. choreography follows traditional models rather attempting innovate. khon performances feature episodes ramakien. costumes dictated tradition, angels, both , bad, wearing coloured masks.
