at wrestlemania v, twin towers defeated rockers (shawn michaels , marty jannetty) , then, of spring , summer 1989, feuded demolition (ax , smash) on tag team championship. meanwhile, boss man concluded feud hogan in series of steel cage matches; 1 of memorable aired on may 27 episode of saturday night s main event, hogan s wwf championship on line. during match, hogan superplexed boss man off top of cage.



boss man became fan favorite after refused bidding of villainous manager slick (left).


the big boss man turned face on february 24, 1990 episode of superstars, when ted dibiase had paid slick have boss man retrieve million dollar championship belt jake roberts, had stolen it. boss man retrieved bag containing both belt , roberts pet python, damien. on brother love show, refused accept dibiase s money bag, , returned roberts.


boss man feuded former partner akeem, defeating him in less 2 minutes @ wrestlemania vi. part of face turn, later stopped handcuffing , beating jobbers after matches. made peace hogan, appearing in corner in match against earthquake @ summerslam 1990, , teaming him @ 1990 survivor series, along hacksaw jim duggan , tugboat, defeat earthquake s team.
