athletics

currently, offer ten sports programs both boys , girls, several club , intramural teams. wildcats member of metropolitan interscholastic conference, member conference of indiana high school athletic association. have won fourteen state-level championships date.


lawrence north household name in indiana high school boys basketball fixtures. have won total of 1 national, 4 state, 6 regional, seventeen sectional, , sixteen conference titles under guidance of jack keefer, 1 of indiana s legendary basketball coach had managed program since establishment in 1976. first state title came in 1989, when team led eric montross. next 3 titles came in row on 2004, 2005, , 2006, guided future nba players greg oden , mike conley, jr.. program has produced thirteen indiana all-stars. keefer himself first coach indiana named national high school coach of year usa today, sports illustrated , national high school coaches association in 2006, , inducted indiana basketball hall of fame in 2007. 1 of 8 high school coaches in indiana history have 700 or more victories, , in 2016 gymnasium renamed in honor.


marching band

lawrence north s band program merged lawrence central counterpart form marching pride of lawrence township in 2014. has more 250 members, divided various program such marching band, color guard, winter guard, concert band, jazz band, , pep band. selected participate in 2017 rose parade in pasadena, california.


student publication

the main publication of school north star, student-run newspaper published ten times year. in addition, there yearbook program lynx, video news program cat s eye, , literary magazine.


other activities

other lawrence north clubs , organizations including model united nations, national honor society, academic team, drama club, speech , debate, inside/out, spanish honor society, show choir, chess club, bilingual newsletter, performance dance team, international club, lynx (yearbook), ski , snowboarding , principal’s advisory council.
