hinata komone (日向, hinata)
hinata local shrine maiden, , classmate of chiaki. develops massive crush on him, shy how feels. hinata finds out cerberus, , chiaki s soul-less problem, , vows him in hopes of getting closer romantically. skills include archery, along exorcism.
idora hashiba (イドラ橋場, hashiba idora)
another 1 of chiaki s classmates, idora rumored have legendary toughness. in reality misunderstood withdrawn guy has studied martial arts number of years. becomes friends chiaki 2 have in common being misunderstood, , withdrawn. had pet cat named hako-maro when little thought male cat, after died cat came in spirit form announce in fact female.
minerva micah ashberry
minnie short, character first appears in third volume of series. through misunderstanding chiaki unknowingly made promise when 2 children married adults. later forgets promise makes minnie upset, continues try , close him loves him. roze sees rival harbors feelings chiaki well.

cerberus

aside main human characters, cerberus unique dog according kuro shares 3 separate entities. 1 physical human body occupied 1 of cerberus, while other 2 lay temporarily sealed inside. character inhabits physical body there until intentionally or not, action taken draw cerberus out within. once happens, body morphs new character while former takes place inside. cerberus follow cycle: kuro -> shirogane -> roze -> kuro, , use set of headphones communicate each other.

kuro (クロ, kuro, lit. black )
kuro first cerberus, , first 1 meet chiaki when opens box. shown love bread crusts, , makes job protect chiaki bring him happiness. when kuro gets stressed out or over-emotional able bring out second cerberus shirogane. when brought again roze, becomes briefly dazed , unaware of surroundings.
shirogane (白銀, shirogane, lit. silver )
shirogane second cerberus, shown fighter , refers chiaki moron getting messes easily. roze tells though has soft spot him notices. shirogane can bring out third cerberus when person intentionally or unintentionally grabs tail.
roze (ロゼ, rose, lit. rose )
roze third cerberus, , confesses chiaki 1 bit him out of fear. since time wears mask seal powers according immense. after apologizing him, takes romantic interest in chiaki , vows protect him. in order swap kuro, must have tail grabbed other herself.

hako-maro (箱根町, hakonechō)
hako-maro or hako idora s pet cat when little. hako given male s name idora s parents thought male cat, in turn thought well. half year after died returned idora nekomata in form of little girl, upset @ him referring male when alive. since idora child though 2 quite close. nervous when becomes friends chiaki fears not need companionship anymore reassured kuro never happen. hako shows love , caring idora, vowing remain him forever. hako hates when word maro added name, , being cat refers kuro dumb dog .
tamamo-no-mae (玉藻前)
tama first appears in fourth manga volume after hinata accidently releases shrine. possesses hinata can grant wish of getting closer chiaki way of thanking her. hinata later able overpower possession confuses tama insists on getting them together. hinata explains possession isn t right way confess follows hinata around afterwards, becomes friend, , helps in way them closer together. tama shown in chibi form can transform busty adult when explaining feminine appeal looks like.
fenrir aka rir rir
rirrir appears in second manga volume, , kidnaps chiaki in order make him meal. strength shown eyes in form of hypnosis looks them. uses power have victims defend her, , fight when needed. real identity great norse wolf fenrir, in series has 2 sisters unlike accept japanese society. later bound younger sisters , forced repent actions against chiaki , friends. rir rir has remained there ever since bad wolf label on bound body.
jormungand , hel
these 2 mythical figures shown younger sisters of rir rir in series. after binding older sister both make apology chiaki, , kuro. jormungand works maid, , likes japanese culture, while hel (shown little girl) carries guard dog garm on in form of backpack. hel queen of northern hell . while jormungand appears helpful true motives remain unclear.
