the current curriculum introduced in fall of 2003. has 3 components:



the honors program

the honors program provides course of study accomplished students. there several honors distinctions, such trustee scholarship, incoming freshmen invited apply, current marietta college freshmen enter sophomore year , incoming transfer students entering mc fall under condition (3) above. program has several requirements such gpa , including specific honors courses meet general education requirements. continue in scholars program, 4 semesters of required course work must completed.


academic achievement

to recognize academic achievement, college has established several honors such as, dean s list, dean s high honors list, freshman , sophomore scholars, phi beta kappa , degrees distinction.

in 2017, marietta included in national rankings u.s. news & world report (8th in midwest), wall street journal/times higher education (221st in nation), forbes (470th in nation), college factual (211th in nation), money magazine (562nd in nation), , washington monthly (26th in nation).
