throughout debian s lifetime, both debian distribution , website have won various awards different organizations, including server distribution of year 2011, best linux distro of 2011, , best of net award october 1998.


on december 2, 2015, microsoft announced offer debian gnu/linux endorsed distribution on azure cloud platform.
