as party watches manticore fly off distance, discover runestones left behind. use them open portal takes them earthscar, ahead of manticore. there find face face fondue s father, chadge (matt gourley), joins group, hoping make abandoning fondue child. search village warn chief, discover elf named teddar spice (nathan fillion) has replaced original chief. teddar joins group go in search of original chief, sandy michael, knows more power of runestones. sandy comes plan use runestones open portal, force manticore through it, , re-seal before more demons can escape. manticore arrives, leaving party distract manticore while sandy michael prepares seal. though party fights valiantly, can t bring manticore towards portal. determined make son, chadge tries drag manticore portal himself. through combined efforts of chadge, boneweevil, , newly returned blue dragon manticore forced portal, closes, trapping 4 on other side. fondue , beor, left mourn loss of friend. in mid-credits scene, s revealed both boneweevil , dragon, charles, survived trip through portal, , have banded search way back.
