changde has extensive bus network short-distance busses within city costing either cn¥1 or ¥1.50 depending on air-conditioning. changde pedestrian friendly city wide tree-lined avenues , streets.


intercity rail

the city connected national passenger rail network, connections other chinese cities via changde railway station in wuling district. train tickets can purchased @ station, before departure or once on train. planned high-speed chongqing-changsha special passenger line connect changde chongqing, changsha , other cities along line @ 200 kilometres per hour (120 mph) once completed. qianjiang-zhangjiajie-changde section has been approved , expected begin construction in 2014. changde-changsha section has begun construction.


bus rapid transit

on december 26, 2012, changde officially launched bus rapid transit (brt) system. of july 2013, brt system in changde has 8 lines operating both inside , outside brt roads. these include h1 main line running changde bus station deshan bus station , 7 branch lines, h11, h12, h13, h15, h16, l12, , l13 although there total of 24 brt stations in city. system operates on same flat fare city s normal innercity bus network, charging ¥1 yuan transit between 2 stops on line except in summer when fare increases ¥1.50. changde brt uses huanghai cng busses. stations located in center of roadway.


public bike service

one of changde s many public bike rental stations on renmin street.


changde has public bike service begun in october 2012 30 rental stations throughout city , thousand bicycles. system has continued expand , plans @ least 120 rental stations , 3,200 bicycles 2015. second such system implemented in hunan province after similar bike rental program begun in zhuzhou in may 2011. users sign program annual or temporary subscription , must pay ¥200 deposit. riders can use bikes 2 hours free , pay 1 yuan each additional hour maximum of fifteen yuan per day. rental stations open 6 a.m. 9 p.m.

air

changde taohuayuan airport (cdg) constructed in 1958 , links changde several other chinese cities including haikou, beijing, shanghai, kunming, shenzhen, guangzhou, nanjing, tianjin, liuzhou, chongqing, , wuhan. airport located approximately 12.2 kilometres (7.6 mi) south of city.


water

since yuan river has minimum channel depth of on 2 meters year-round, navigable thousand-ton ships. yuanguan port in changde second largest port in hunan province covering area of 200 mu (13 hectares). construction of new port began in 1999 , first , second stages completed in 2008 2 thousand-ton berths, 2 five-hundred-ton berths , 1 three-hundred-ton berth. since 2012, port of changde linked directly port of shanghai.
