hole church (hole kirke) stems approximately 1200. located in hilly landscape around 5 km southwest of norderhov church on peninsula in tyrifjord. edifice of stone , has 350 seats. altarpiece in rococo style. largely destroyed fire in 1736. church rebuilt in 1737. repairs, restorations , remodeling occurred during 1827 , 1909. old church burned ground after lightning strike in 1943. restored church built sandstone district , consists of long, rectangular nave , narrower, square choir in east.
