the razorbacks took 7–0 lead on 7-yard touchdown pass mallett van stumon, barely 2 minutes later tigers tied game on 5-yard rushing touchdown newton. 2 teams combined 34 points in second quarter. auburn scored 2 touchdowns, 1 on 4-yard run mario fannin , other on 13-yard run onterrio mccalebb. wes byrum kicked 2 field goals in period, including 26-yarder on first half s final play give tigers 27–21 lead.
