the fourth red guardian, josef petkus, special operative intelligence agencies of soviet union, , appeared member of militant supreme soviets. alongside supreme soviets, attacked soviet super-soldiers defecting soviet union. alongside captain america, later battled bear-like creature composed of darkforce. supreme soviets later became known people s protectorate. alongside people s protectorate, teamed avengers , alpha flight battle peace corpse, atlantean army, , combine. petkus later joined post-soviet russian super-team winter guard, calling himself steel guardian . while fighting off dire wraiths, killed in line of duty.
