villa fridheim, manor house houses folk museum, 1 of norway s largest timber buildings. style representative of romantic nationalism. building erected in 1890-92 country house of drammen based timber merchant svend haug(1832-1891) , wife anne marthea (thea) sveaas (1839-1924). architect herman major backer (1856-1932), other commissions included skaugum in asker, klemetsrud church in oslo, sollihøgda chapel in hole , st john s church in bergen.


the building functioned hotel , boarding house between 1914-60. building restored , opened folktale museum in summer of 1986. in 1996 museum opened section dedicated great collectors of norwegian fairy tales, peter christen asbjørnsen , jørgen moe , noted illustrators theodor kittelsen , christian skredsvig.

krøderbanen museum (museet krøderbanen) railroad museum headquartered in former krøderen railroad station @ krøderen. krøderbanen opened in 1872 narrow gauge line. converted standard gauge in connection bergen railway opening in 1909 , remained in operation until 1985. both rolling stock , fixed installations along line kept in running condition. krøderbanen center restoration , maintenance of railway equipment.
