hunter (bass guitar, vocals) formed dragon in 1972 graeme collins (piano, vocals), neil storey (drums) , ray goodwin (guitar, keyboards, vocals); group joined hunter s younger brother marc hunter (vocals) , moved australia in 1975. band toured australasia, america , europe , songs time, april sun in cuba , old enough? , still in love still played on radio.

in 2006 todd hunter reformed dragon mark williams, bruce reid , pete drummond; recorded sunshine rain liberation blue records. dragon toured australia promote 2008 cd dragon remembers affectionate @ great australian anthems recorded friends , colleagues no longer us. dragon inducted aria hall of fame on 1 july 2008, hunter stated had switched acoustic performances electric because fans singing loud band couldn t heard. in 2010 dragon released first studio album of new songs 20 years entitled happy followed ep chase sun in 2011 , ep great divide in 2012. dragon have played on 500 shows since reformation. band played long way top series of concerts in october 2012 embarked on 16 date 40th anniversary national tour of new zealand in mid october. mark occasion liberation records released dragon years 40 song compilation cd. dragon played 20 shows on red hot summer tour around australia in 2013 , kicked off 40th anniversary concert series @ sydney opera house in april 2013. of july 2014 reformed dragon have played on 600 shows.in november 2013 band mounted 20 date acoustic tour in cathedrals , churches in new zealand. in 2014 toured australia march through end of june trilogy tour, tour featured 3 main eras of band, young years (1970s), glory years (1980s) , phoenix years (2006 on). dragon s new album roses being launched @ basement in sydney in september.

the band booked every weekend till march 2016, tour nz first week of january 2015 take first annual endless summer tour east coast of australia remaining 3 weeks of january.
