sherman married rebecca (also spelled rebekah) prescott on may 12, 1763. born on may 20, 1742, in danvers, essex county, massachusetts. had 8 children, rebecca; married , elizabeth; married same simeon baldwin, roger, mehitabel (1st), mehitabel (2nd); married jeremiah evarts, oliver, martha; married jeremiah day, , sarah; married samuel hoar. first mehitabel , oliver both died in infancy. rebecca died in august 1814.
