on 20 march 1929, arrests against wpp, cpi , other labour leaders made in several parts of india, in became known meerut conspiracy case. of wpp leadership put behind bars. trial proceedings last 4 years, outliving wpp. tengdi, wpp of bombay president, died whilst trial still going on.


s.s. mirajkar stated in defense that

the judgement in case ended following passage;



progress made in conspiracy main achievements have been establishment of workers , peasant parties in bengal, bombay , punjab , u.p., perhaps of deeper gravity hold members of bombay party acquired on workers in textile industry in bombay shown extent of control exercised during strike of 1928 , success achieving in pushing forward thoroughly revolutionary policy in girni kamgar union after strike came end.
