sun pictures film production , distribution company established in 2000. produced tv film siragugal , rajnikanth starrer endhiran. has distributed more 20 tamil films starting kadhalil vizhunthen.

sunrisers hyderabad cricket franchise based in city of hyderabad plays in indian premier league (ipl). team bought kalanithi maran in october 2012. tom moody head coach , david warner captain of team.



aviation

sun group acquired 37.7% stake in indian low cost carrier spicejet in june 2010. in 2012, despite losses, kalanithi maran increased stake in spicejet investing ₹1 billion (us$16 million) in airline. in january 2015, sun group sold entire shareholding airline s founder ajay singh , transferred control.
