the selmon s rel selected 1 of ten sites throughout test out automated vehicles. such testing occur during off-peak hours , require complete closure of rel during times.


bus toll lanes

a partnership between thea , hillsborough area regional transit exploring placement of dedicated toll lanes along selmon utilized both private vehicles , transit buses [1].


contra-flow study

a study regarding contra-flow plan selmon during large-scale evacuation underway. hillsborough county eoc , thea planning out how expressway used evacuation route. big limitation of plans reason original plans cancelled i-75 trumpet interchange, narrows 1 lane on 3 of 4 ramps , interstate. current plan, if approved, follows.

selmon expressway mainline florida ave i-75: two-way westbound direction allowing first responders , other emergency personnel quick access downtown.
selmon expressway reversible express lanes: one-way eastbound entire route.

gandy boulevard connector

the thea in planning stages of building corridor (in form of two-laned, tolled, elevated viaduct) current western terminus of expressway west gandy bridge via gandy boulevard, project has been cancelled , revived in recent years. of december, 2015, project on track , anticipated begin construction sometime in 2017, projected completion in late 2020 or 2021.
