black sun (1997-2000)

his solo career began in 1997 when started writing songs debut solo album black sun , spent time @ songwriting clinic organised miles copeland iii, former manager of police. lloyd started producing album in 1998 , finished album producer ed buller, former member of psychedelic furs, had produced albums pulp , suede.

watching angels mend (2001-2002)

lloyd s second album watching angels mend went double platinum in australia after release in 2001. second single, amazing , proved breakthrough him, becoming first top 40 single in australia, being top song on triple j hottest 100 2001. went on become number 1 hit in new zealand , played track on australian radio during 2002.

two further top 40 singles in australia followed in 2002; green , s laughing . lloyd went on win second aria award best male artist , nominated in several other categories.

distant light (2003-2004)

lloyd s third album distant light released in 2003. featured jim moginie , martin rotsey of midnight oil on several tracks. produced stuart miller, had produced watching angels mend , mixed tony hoffer has worked air, beck , turin brakes.

in 2005, lloyd released new single, entitled never meant fail , reached top 30 in australia, and, on 25 october, eponymously titled album. singles have been released album ( never meant fail , wonder , brand new day ) have had significant airplay on radio stations across australia.

after returning australia @ end of 2012, lloyd announced recording , releasing new album in 2013. in march , april 2013, lloyd started road-testing new songs on limited tour. speaking newcastle herald, lloyd announced title of album urban wilderness.

on 11 february 2016, liberation music announced lloyd releasing acoustic album part of acoustic series, featuring re-imaginings of many of successful tracks. following day, acoustic version of coming home released on youtube channel.

lloyd began touring australian rock band icehouse tour dates in newcastle, sydney, melbourne , canberra throughout february , march 2016.
