nationality law or citizenship law codified in constitution of india , citizenship act of 1955. although constitution of india bars multiple citizenship, parliament of india passed on 7 january 2004, law creating new form of limited dual nationality called overseas citizenship of india. overseas citizens of india have no form of political rights or participation in government, however, , there no plans issue overseas citizens form of indian passport.
